They Come Out When It Rains

Long ago, our friend Emily wrote about the tropical snails that come out after the rain.We hadn't seen one until last night when Kyle almost crunched one underfoot! This is not your average garden snail: 

Apparently they get bigger than this, but this one was enough to make me cringe during the rest of the walk. I really, really don't want step on one of those.
