Yummy! Jusy make sure you don't put any hot forks on top of Alli's nice glass stove top. :-)

Hi there! I found your blog from Cjane's blog. I have to say two things:
1. Honey Maid Grahams are the best graham cracker there is.
2. I've always been disappointed with the meltage (or lack thereof) of the chocolate in a smore. I keep hoping someone will invent a chocolate-filled marshmallow where the chocolate melts inside the marshmallow while it's being toasted. Good idea, no? - Kyle July 11, 2010 at 10:08 AM

Hello Amelia--
1. honey maid grahams are the only graham crackers that we have located in Singapore, so, not much choice. I probably agree with you, but I haven't done a head-to-head in a very long time.
2. for trial one, this was no problem whatsoever. Chocolate in Singapore comes pre-melty. However, to prevent that going overboard, we keep the chocolate in the fridge, and we're right back there with you facing poor melting conditions. Growing up we made s'mores in the oven sometimes, and this would solve the problem, but you miss the whole open-flame fun.
now then, pre-chocolate-filled marshmallows, that is an idea. what I'm concerned with right off is the chocolate/marshmallow ratio, pre-defined by the chocolate filled marshmallow manufacturer, as opposed to the user-selected ratio afforded by the standard method. I will say that if I saw chocolate filled marshmallows in the grocery, adjacent to the garden variety, I'd probably buy them for the novelty to give it at least one shot. Thus, if you design and perfect this idea, people will buy once on novelty, and then come back for more when it all works out. I support your efforts.

If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,

Are you sure that making smores wasn't one of the icons on your stove of "don't dos"?
