Inspired (and nudged) by Ruthie, we're thinking of playing along with the Digital Photography School yearly photo project. dPS suggested weekly themes for 2011 and last week's theme was Macro. Now you could argue that since we don't have a macro lens, this was not the week to start. But we're jumping in where we are and working with what we've got.
The goal is to push us to be creative within set parameters, practice with our cameras, and think outside of the pictures we'd normally take. Further nudged by Ruthie, though, we're upping the ante a bit and making this a little friendly competition. Each week (or so, or until we get bored, or until y'all get bored) we'll post two weekly pictures: one from Kyle and one from Alli. And you get to vote!

oh fun - what a great idea and way to learn to use your camera in so many ways - may look into this more. I vote for the blackberry on the spoon. :-)
