The weather was GORGEOUS here over the weekend, so Hamish and I met Jodi and her family at the zoo Saturday afternoon. She noticed most of the high contrast animals. The elephants were far away and I don't think she saw them at all. The small, furry things didn't attract much attention. But the colorful birds and the loud monkeys were cool.

We also got to ride the carousel (thanks to Jodi and Chad, because I had no idea I needed to bring cash for all this extra stuff). Hamish was a little unsure about all of that, but hung in there.

We sat out the train ride though and had a snack instead.

Maybe her favorite part, though, was getting out of the stroller and running around with the big kids at the playground bounce space. She made a beeline for the crowded center area where kids were doing flips and rolling. She got knocked around and down a little bit, but she's tough, and she hung in there happily.

Special thanks to Amanda and Reuben for the precious kimono. They brought it back for us from Japan after Hamish turned out to be a girl-child.
