I've finally figured out the secret to a happy trip: schedule the return flight on Friday. Then you have Saturday to completely crash, and Sunday to get back on your feet.
Of course, we didn't exactly sleep in on Sunday. Hamish did, but the Manimal was having none of it, so Kyle and I got up and started assembling the swing he'd ordered a couple of weeks before.
The package arrived early--the one time you'd rather that not happen--so it had been sitting out in the rain for a few days before we got it. So it needed to be opened to dry out. So we might as well put it together.
Isn't it pretty?
After the swing was assembled, we relaxed and let the kids play in the sandbox, and filled the flipped-over cover with water for a makeshift splash pool.
Happy homecoming to us!

Psalms 139:9-10 If I take the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will lay hold of me.
