I have to think that they are trying to say (at least in the second one, the first I have no clue) is that Singapore is more than just a place for tourists to go on vacation, it's a burgeoning business/science economic power?

Oh boy when I was reading them I said to myself the same thing. What does that even mean.
Then I gave it some thought and here is what I think they were trying to say.
It's so wonderful here you will have to make a choice about which wonderful thing you want to do. However they picked horrid comparisons. Like coffee or tanning. It should be laying out on the beach tanning or getting a deep tissue massage at the spa.
Like it is now it's just off. Also the whole "New Tropics" is weird to. Singapore nor the tropics are new...maybe the slogan should be.
Isn't it about time you discovered Singapore? And show pics of new hotels, shops, beaches and dinning. Tell them to call me! LOL
K+A
Psalms 139:9-10 If I take the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will lay hold of me.
I completely agree, they would drive me crazy. Because they don't make sense, and the design is lacking. But maybe we are not the target market?
