This is Music City after all. In the summer there are SO many free concerts and music events. You can go hear music in a park nearly every evening all summer long--certainly every weekend evening! We've been enjoying the Dragon Park Music Sundays.
Hamish loves the dragon and the playground there. She especially likes the concrete tunnel which has been the site of a few photo shoots.
The music has been fun, and it's close to some great food. We even found The Manimal's name in the license plates decorating the deck at MacDougals.

On Saturdays, the Musician's Corner at Centennial Park is an even bigger deal with an acoustic and main stage, Kidsville, local artisans, and food trucks. Yum. The timing for Musician's Corner is not ideal: 12-5:30 is right around nap time, but we had time to hear a three performers, eat some really, really good sandwiches from the new-to-us food truck, the Steaming Goat and finish with Jeni's ice cream and a snow cone before anyone melted down.
